The mock exams have begun and will continue until Friday Feb. 10th. As a result lunch times will change for the week - Lunch will be from 12.25 to 1.30pm.
Practice is in full swing for the musical "The Sound of Music" which is due to begin on the 8th of March in The Watershed. It will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with a matinee on Sunday.
The first Year parent/teacher meeting is on February 23rd.
On Monday Jan 23rd our Cadette A and Cadette B volleyball teams both qualified for the All Ireland quarter finals.
On Tuesday Jan 24th, 8 Spikeball teams travelled to Carlow for the next round of this year's Spikeball competition. At the end of the day 2 first year teams and 1 second year team qualified for this year's Regional Finals.
Congratulations to Denise Somers who won the recent Art Competition organised by the Kilkenny Advertiser. Denise was presented with her award by the Mayor on Wednesday Jan. 25th in the Mayor's office.
The Choir's new CD is now on sale for €10 and would make a great gift. Contact the school. The CD includes favourites such as Carol of the Bells, Silent Night and We wish you a Merry Christmas.
More congratulations are due to the choir as they have been chosen to be recorded with the RTE Symphony Orchestra. This is a wonderful tribute to Ms McCarron and the choir.
The choir also came 2nd in the RTE Lyric FM Christmas competition.
